Cross Timbers YMCA YOUTH SPORTS
Like many youth sports programs, YMCA coaches lead players through drills and games that build skills, develop coordination and enhance a love of the game. We make sure everyone participates and we emphasize the development of character.

The YMCA offers both recreational and competitive leagues.

FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION

The YMCA purpose is to give every young person the opportunity to participate in sports and to learn the importance of good sportsmanship and fair play through Christian principles.  THERE ARE NO TRYOUTS IN ANY YMCA SPORT.  The YMCA philosophy is to allow kids to participate in a noncompetitive program with an emphasis on fun, development of character, and fair play.

Small Fry Basketball

Small Fry Basketball is an instructional league for three to five year olds that includes fundamental skills and fun games.  Small Fry Basketball gives the little ones an opportunity to become acquainted with the ball, the court and techniques that will allow them to be more successful in the game as they get older.

Small Fry Soccer

Small Fry Soccer is an instructional league for three to five year olds that includes fundamental drills, skills, and lots of fun games.  Small Fry Soccer gives younger ones an opportunity to become acquainted with the ball, the field, and techniques that will allow them to be more successful in the game the older they get.

Youth Soccer

Recreational league for children grades pre-kindergarten to sixth grade.  Games are played on Saturdays and practices are determined by the coach.

Buddy Soccer

Buddy Sports is a specialized program for athletes with learning and physical disabilities. Athletes meet once a week to have fun, exercise and most importantly be a part of a team in an understanding atmosphere.

Flag Football

Youth Flag Football is a recreational league for youth grades kindergarten to sixth grade.  Games are played on Saturdays and practices are determined by the coach.

Recreational Volleyball

Cross Timbers Family YMCA offers a recreational Volleyball league for girls first through eighth grade.  Your child will be placed on a team and work with Volunteer coaches and YMCA staff to learn more about the game of Volleyball.

Competitive Volleyball

The Cross Timbers Sports’ Competitive volleyball season is designed for girls preparing to play on middle school level. While each child is still guaranteed roughly 25% playing time in each game, coaches will award playing time based on skill, practice attendance, etc. All skills will be geared towards seventh grade girls’ volleyball preparation.

Karate

Karate classes are available for adults and youth. Class times vary.
